Hi all hotwheelers. I’m just came back recently from my Shenzhen and Hong Kong trip… So, I want to share some of my Hot Wheels findings in these two place. There no much Hot Wheels around Shenzhen… or maybe I’m looking at the wrong place. I did found Hot Wheels selling at Vanguard, a departmental store at Guo Mao area in Shenzhen…. Then, I also found Hot Wheels being sold at Toys R Us at Futian Shopping Plaza which is directly opposite the famous Window to the World in Shenzhen. There are main line basic cars and surprisingly some classic lines on sale there. I’m happy to grab 2 Dairy Delivery and 1 69 camaro which cost RMB28 per car.

As for Hong Kong, I only have time to check the Toys R Us at Ocean Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui. Massive stock of main line cars here but I found no Treasure Hunt left on the peg. Other than that, they have some Color Shifters which was on promotion of buy 2 and get 3rd for free. The price for main line is HK14.90 each. After convert, it is more or less the same pricing as ours here. That’s all from me this time. snake signing out.

Hi hot wheelers. Today I would like to introduce to you an awesome casting done by Mattel. It has since become one of my favorite hot wheels casting. I’m not sure what year this casting is introduced but according to http://www.hotwheels.wikia.com it first appear as a Toy Fair car in 2007. Eventually it made it’s debut on mainline as the 12th Treasure Hunt of year 2008. Then, this casting appeared in variety of line. It is featured in mainline, Larry’s Garage series, Hot wheels Garage series, Classics line and RLC/HWC Real Riders. It also featured in the 2009 Hot Wheels Collectors Nationals as convention car.

According to hotwheels.wikia.com, the designer for this casting is Phil Riehlman. At first I thought this casting is designed by the legendary Larry Woods as it appeared in the Larry’s Garage series. But when the new Hot wheels Garage series was introduced, this casting made itself back to his designer – Phil Riehlman.

One of my favorite 69 camaro is the one in the Larry’s Garage box set exclusive to Toys R’ Us. I’ll let the pictures do the talking.

Loving every aspect of this car. The ghost flame is really sick looking. The only complain will be the tail light. Why it is not painted, I wonder? I got this one loose from ebay.com. It is definitely worth the money. Hope to see more of this casting from Mattel.
